Game Style – Question & Answer housed in Proteus cabinet with PC technology.

Description - Game of skill based on the popular TV quiz show programme

High Score Table - Is shown with the players’ current ranking positions, in the zero credit attract mode

Rules - By pressing screen the player can view the game rules on the screen.

Two Player Mode.- This allows 2 players to play against each other in a dual game. Players take it in turns to answer questions, and move up their own individual score cards. It costs twice the stake but both players could win one million points.

Free Games - At random “free games” may be won from positions on the Points Score Table.

Preliminary round - This determines how many “Lifelines” the player can carry through to the game. The player is asked a question and must put the answers in order in the quickest possible time, as the timer counts down. If the player does this correctly, the amount of time he has taken to do so determines the amount of “Lifelines”, 1, 2 or 3, that he will carry through.

If the player gets the answers in the wrong order , the screen will say “Try Again”. However , the “Time Bar” will move down to the next “Lifeline” segment. This process is repeated until the player either puts the answers in the correct order and is awarded any remaining “Lifelines”, or runs out of time and is awarded no “Lifelines”.

“Lifelines” - consist of :

50 : 50 - Two of the possible wrong answers are eliminated from the possible answers to a question.

Phone a friend - A “Friends” voice on the telephone, tells the player which answer he thinks is correct.

Ask the audience - The player is shown four different values in A, B, C and D, in the form of a bar graph. The values are meant to indicate how an audience might answer the question by percentage. The player must decide whether he thinks the majority of the audience have chosen the right answer.

Achieved “Lifelines” are available for use from the first question onwards and are activated via press of screen but can only be used once.

Questions- Are randomly generated from a broad selection of subjects.

Points Score Table - If the player answers correctly his points are automatically awarded to the Points Score Table. This shows the player how much he has achieved & how much he needs to achieve to win token prizes or free games.

“Timer” - Once the Question Timer starts counting up , the player must answer correctly as quickly as possible. Once 30 seconds is reached , the game is over. Quick answers help rankings in the High Score Table.
